As a staff member on my high school newspaper, Applause,  I have become very involved in the design and layout side of the paper. Not only am I on the editing staff as an Editor-in-Chief and formerly a copy editor, I also spend a lot of time working with other staff members to create colorful newspaper covers for our monthly issues. In difference to most of the art I create, these covers are created using digital design platforms. Most of these covers depict things happening during the month of the issue, including holidays, celebrations, and the chosen school art major that is being focused on that month. In my junior year of high school and my first year as a staff member on the paper, I worked on five out of the ten total covers for the year.  I am continuing as a staff member during my senior year, and I look forward to designing future cover artworks.
